The tale of rare design innovation: ‘Regenerate’ collection features pieces made from water hyacinths and coconut shells.

Arguably the first in Africa. Jacket made from water hyacinths and adorned with buttons from coconut shells. This not only depicts genius design innovation, but commitment to develop more eco-friendly options for circular fashion in Africa.

Redbutton launched the REGENERATE capsule collection at the SPICE Lifestyle Honors on the 5th of December, 2018 in Lagos Nigeria, powered by SPICE TV Africa, Africa’s Fashion and Lifestyle Channel.

Redbutton opened the fashion showcase with innovative pieces from agro waste and up cycled fabric pieces. Evidently, the Founder and Creative Director of the brand, Chioma Ogbudimkpa, is passionate about sustainability and amplifying the eco-fashion concept in Africa.

This showcase has birthed invitations to showcase the iconic collection (and even newer creations) at the 2019 Fashion Weeks in Milan, New York, London and Paris.

As a matter of fact, this work will be featured at the United Nations Sustainability and Innovation Expo in Nairobi, March 2019, where the UN Alliance for Sustainable Fashion will be launched
